It was Steve's birthday yesterday. Have I mentioned that I love celebrating birthdays... even if they are not mine? The excitement of presents and favorite foods gets me every time.
We played Rummikub last night too. I love that game. Monday, May 26, 2008

Graduation
Mom and Dad flew out to celebrate my graduation with me.
We've stayed busy exploring the various sites in D.C. This is the East building of the National Gallery of Art in the background.Steve wins major points for coming to Commencement and sitting next to my parents. It was very long with good speakers and not good speakers.
This is Testudo, our mascot turtle, legend has it that if you rub his nose for luck you will do better on your test. Here is the official history of Testudo.
P.S. Of the million pictures that we took, apparently all of the ones of me in robes with my parents are on Mom's camera. She didn't bring her cord...

Immediate Temple Blessings
I had Ward Temple Night yesterday. There are amazing blessings that come into my life because of the temple and the covenants that we make there. Yesterday's blessings just happened to include ice cream and chocolate.
In other good news, I turned in my last paper yesterday. I am down to one take home final. I am so excited... enduring to the end is one of the hardest things!

Face Painting
Steve and I toured several embassies this Saturday. The member countries of the European Union hosted open houses with lots of food, games, and pamphlets. The German embassy even had face painters.
Steve captured these "in the process of" photos. It is so amazing how artists can break the images down, slowing adding different colors and levels until the whole image emerges.Confession: I love getting my face painted. Think about it, you have someone completely focused on making you look better.
The weather was gorgeous and we were able to visit Germany, France, Sweden, Spain, Malta, Luxembourg and Latvia. Not bad for one afternoon.
